SPEEDWAY 660 RAINED OUT BUT CARNAHAN MOTORSPORTS
FINDS HELPFUL USE OF RAINY DAY
" We were eager to try the new set up
changes and after a short testing session on Friday night, we were
excited to go racing" The Irving Oil racing team was at the shop
endless nights to prepare the # 55 Impala after finding set up
differences from the original builder of car. "Team Hamke" of
North Carolina has assisted us with information that has totally
changed our set up direction" as Jason nodded his head with
confidence looking for as little as a couple tenths of a second to be
at the next step of competition. "Unfortunately we are not
going to get to try it this weekend, now we go back and tear it all
apart to set up for Scotia Speedworld"
Although it was rainy the team saw an opportunity
to waste as the Fredericton Royals, a minor ball team, were having a
fundraiser in the rain the day the race was rained out. The entire ball
team was brushin' the rain off at the Irving Big Stop out of Lincoln
N.B., one of many large "Big Stop" locations that Irving Oil
offers 24/7 to the hard runnin' truckers for Fuel, fresh showers,
trinkets for trucks and some of the best food around the Maritimes.
Carnahan Motorsports took the time to help spruce up the traffic to the
ball teams fund raiser buy unloading the car and staying for a while.
" The ball team and parents thought it was a
nice gesture to make the time" said Jason. " The team came in
handy as well to get us back on the trailer when it was time to leave,
we enjoy this time of promotion as much as we enjoy being apart of the
many things that Irving supports"
