CARNAHAN VICTIM OF BAD GREEN FLAG LAP AT SCOTIA
"Our new set up had made the improvements we
wanted and it showed in qualifying" said Jason as he was 25th out
of 31 in the qualifying charts on Saturday. The teams had work and
research paid off and comfort was starting to settle in for Irving
Racing driver of the # 55 Chevy Impala. The car got a little tight on
sunday morning after the track had changed over night due to heavy damp
weather. After some adjustments, the car felt comfortable enough to
race his way into the big show, but luck did not go the way he wanted
it. As the field came around to the green flag to start the
"B" feature qualifying race, the 19V broke an axle on turn 4
for the green causing a "check up" effect that bottle necked
the entire outside lane and a car behind the #55 bulldozed him
into the front stretch wall. " not exactly the way we wanted start
the day, it's to bad that a more experienced driver turns his car into
a bulldozer instead of rolling out of the throttle a bit" said
Jason as he appeared extremely disappointed. " That's racin' I
guess, these things are going to happen and we will have this thing
ready for the big "IWK 250" if it takes every night from now
until then"
