A CLOSE BATTLE FOR THE 55 WITH THE TOP ROOKIE
CONTENER
This season had another strike in the improvement
column as the #55 Irving Oil Impala showed a top 16 on the practice
charts early in the day at Speedway 660. As the day went on things
worked out well for Jason and his team. It was a par run with the top
rookie Josh Jailliet, until the closing laps when the 01 of Robbie
Maclean had lost radio communication with his spotter. Maclean was
racing the 55 on the outside and did not have the pass cleared and
collected up Jason solid to a fast charge into the turn 4 sand bank.
The impact put both cars out of commission for the remaining 10 laps.
“I thought we finally were coming out in one piece tonight with a
good finish”, “ 22nd is better than last but we will have
better nights to come” said Jason.
They Irving oil Marketing team will head back to
prepare for the next double header event at Raceway Park in Oyster Bed,
PEI.
